They hug the heater, the others stick close to them, (usually for snacks.)

The gravid spot will turn red sometimes just before she starts spawning
On light guppies its the opposite way round.

I got a spare spawing tank (The little plastic jobbie) if you dont have one.
Its easier to put her in there. If you get it wrong. (you know after an hour or so), you can pop her back in the tank. You don't want to stress her.

    Guppy Grass also helps

Get some of the Pros Fine food for the fry, its good stuff, fine enough for the fry to eat. Available from the Fish Nook

Check the female, when her back begins to arch, she is close, I do not recommend the plastic breeding tank - stresses the female no end, just have lots of guppy grass and/or moss and plants and let nature take her course

    Thanx Guys,
But she eats and swims with the others? But her back makes a slight bend. The anal part where the babies come out makes a sharp corner, it looks like it already opened. Should I leave her in the breeding box for the nit?I know Zafgak you don't recommend it, but at the moment I got no plants in the tank. But no worries I will have soon;-)

    Thanx Jason

I have to agree with Zafgak - those plastic things a bad news - rather risk the fry now than the mother - or you might be surprised some fry could actually survive.

my guppies spawn in the community tank, and each nite i check the floating plants for the hiding survivors, catch and move them to a grow-out tankie

Hi Veegal, were could I get guppy grass?

    Hi Guys,
Now we're moving to the next phase, Balloon Mollies! I have a few in my other tank and one of them is a white one and she is heavy preggies, now I wanna know when shes gonna pop, but I havent got a clue!!! The guppy is really close, she's hiding away from the male the whole time so I cant actually see where she is, but soon there will be babies ;-)

Eish why do you want to breed balloon molly's? Basically put them in a tank and they'll do their thing :)

But Jason, you should know that in Parklands there's plenty of 'grass' around. ROFL

    Sorry, just could not resist.
