Give me a couple of months :)

Ask @Irma and Prof Dirk B. They seem to know a lot about guppies and might be able to assist

currently most importers only bringing imported guppy males but there are no females on their price lists. The problem with this is that the guppies won't breed true.

It will be up to you to fix the strain and that will take a few generations.when ever you look on the international forums you find that the breeders are selling trios of a strain. I would like to import some of those trios.

Maybe we can get together and find someone who would be prepared to bring in the strains of our choice.

I will start looking for someone that would be willing to help in this regard.

@waanie i spoke to @Altum a few weeks ago. he does bring in the ATFG show guppies but they are quite pricey. i think around R2000 for a trio if im not mistaken. but they are really stunning.

@Pauline thanks for the guppies, they look amazing. if and when you do decide to sell some of the guppies in your main tank, please let me be the first to know lol

Try Ultimate Aquatics a while ago they had a number of display tanks with a variety of male guppies & females as well.

    @fiza Heck NO!

ATFG are not cheap, but they are not that expensive either ..LOL
Most are around 800-900 a trio
Yes they can go in excess of R2000 mark per trio, but that is exceptionalI
It depends entirely on the strain selected.

As a beginner, these are not what you would be focused on getting.
The other hobby-grade, attractive guppy strains I offered you a few weeks ago, would be most suitable

it sounds you found @Pauline with guppies you like, and that's important.
Get what you LIKE, and maintain easily.

Not just PE and EL, but elsewhere in Eastern Cape, just seems to have fewer good fish supplies these days... that's sad really.
If I can help, let me know

I can vouch. ATFG is not all expensive. @Altum is bringing in 3 trios for me at this stage. He is a great help. Always there if you need advice of assistance.
