    Hello,

Recently my LFS has stocked a new type of crypt, its very small but very overpriced. I was thinking of growing some emersed so that later on I could fill a tank.
Would it grow effectively in some PFP with Chemicult and some rusted nails like on the Prof's thread?
If I put it in a tank outside will I need to put it in full sunlight or shade?
Can I leave the tank open or does it need humidity? whats the best way of creating humidity without blocking out light and allowing ventilation?
And finally how do crypts multiply?

    Thanks,
    Mitch

I have some of my crypts growing in 2 liter bottles (high humidity)
They in a closed tank under my carport, so they get two or three hours of sunset direct light.

Got a 2.5 foot on my back stoep that I grow stuff emersed in... Cling wrap cover the top with the sides taped down and a flap left at the end for acsess... I just use a good potting soil... gets maybe 6 hours of sun a day....Plants grow like weeds...

Hey,most of these "aquatic" stuff are marshy stuff as well.
I think if your set up works, substrate and all that,it's worth a look.
I keep mine in a completely shaded spot,no direct sunlight at all.Plants are still growing well.
