    Hi everyone,

    My name's Gordon. I'm 29 years old, live in Durban and have been in the hobby for about 5 years.
    I currently have a 3 foot tank which uses Diana Walstead's method of potting soil under the gravel in order to grow plants without the need for CO2 injection and high lighting.

    I'm glad to have found a South African site dedicated to the hobby!
    Looking forward to getting to know some other enthusiasts.

    Thanks for all the replies!

    I don't have any pics handy at the moment, but I can take some this weekend. You guys might not be very impressed though - my tank doesn't have anything fancy; just some vals, amazon swords & anubias. Just setting the expectation level ;)

    Hi there and welcome, don't worry not everyone onthe forum has spectacular setups some of us have very plain looking tanks with plastic plants and no fancy features. [ Talking about my own tanks BTW ]
