    Hi , do someone know were i can get green (glofish) danios in South Africa ?

    If so no worthy TASA member will part with this information.
    It is an unspoken rule.
    We are agains such practises.

    These are genetically modified fish. So as far as I can tell the "glo" is genetic.

    I've got some of the pink ones and they get along great with normal silver danios. They add a nice burst of colour to the top water in the tank, and really do glow under blue LED lighting.

    If the are not harmed to get these colours with the genetic modification then it would not be a problem and maybe they will sell more than the dyed ones so the ignorant lfs will keep these and stop selling the dyed fishes, do not like it as its looks unnatural.

    Yes it is not natural but it is interesting or cool.
