    Hi Guys

So I think my tank has finally finished cycling, but now I have an issue with green cloudy water.

I think it's algae? Had the same issue about a week ago and I did a 40% water change. We have also had some issues with the electricity going off for a few hours to a day at a time.

Could the lights in the tank being promoting the algae growth as well?

    Some pics below

    Thanks

I think it's just a good old fashioned algae bloom - nothing to worry about - keep on with w/c's

I have never had this in any of my tanks.

@Zak van Dyk remember buddy goldfish (waterpiggies) makes a lot of mess and require wc of up to 100% per week. also the standard lighting in Boyu tanks does promote algae growth.

Yup, the test stick without the "key" doesn't mean much.
But I suspect your nitrates are quite high.
Keep on top of water changes.

Hi, definately seems like an algae bloom. I had this problem a few times and as far as i know wc's dont help much, but if your willing to, put a thick cover or blanket over your tank for a few days and then siphon the bottom layer of the tank. usually this is a unicellular plant and the lights out "kills" it, but like all plants if you dont remove the dead cells they have the ability to bloom again.
    Good luck further
