I still have my dead fish problem but I think Slagter was right about the "Live bearers" problem that he mentioned in my previous thread. I lost a molly as well today.

No need to worry, When I got home from work today I found that my two angels are breeding. This is my first time ever that I've got eggs. You guys must help a little because I have no experience on breeding and the do's and dont's. How long does the eggs usually incubate? And after they hatch, can I just put one of those baby cages in my tank? The problem is that the angel laid her eggs on my sub pump, any suggestions?

I would also like to thank you guys for all the help and info. This must be the greatest forum ever!!! Thanks Rory and all the members!!!

From laying the eggs - The eggs take about 3 days to become wrigglers, they will be little fish wriggling wherever they are stuck on. The parents may move them from where they are now..About 3 days later the wrigglers will become free swimming. ONLY when tghey become free swimming do you attempt to feed them. Newly hatched brine shrimp is best, you can use liquifry at a pinch. The parents will raise the babies if you are lucky - The norm with tank bred angels is that the parents will probably eat the eggs the first few times and the wrigglers a few times as well before they get the hang of it. Sometimes you get lucky !!!

Also watch the eggs - unfertilised eggs are white, and will be eaten by the parents

There is no better sight than a few hundred baby angels swimming oround their parents in a cloud....

If you see the parents mouthing the eggs or fry - chances are they are NOT eating them but cleaning them..

Congrats on the eggs - but do not count your angels before they hatch...

Should I put them in a "baby cage"? I only have fish flakes, cant I mash it till its fine and then give it to the fry to eat? In Hoedspruit you will never find newly hatched brine shrimp.
