got my arowana

hey everybody i finally got my arowana from animal kingdom in pta,sat 2 hours on the n1 but was worth it.mr is +- 10cm so still a bit small for my oscar tank so i got him in the community tank until he gets a bit bigger,thanx for everybody who made it possible,franna and troyfish and thanx to troy for the guppies and mollies ps i might need to come back for some more .pics to follow soon.

 

nice ..hope you are ready to sacrafice the fish in the com tank ,little aro,s like to eat.just stay away from crickets and other insects until he is at least 15cm plus as the claws can hook inside and cause big problems...... good luck keep up the water changes and water quality high and he will grow super big and he will be chasing your oscars around this time next year.

 

Congrats, my Arowana is my best fish purchase alongside my Shovelnose, I hope all goes well. Keep up the water changes and feeding and he will be with the big boys soon. What is he sharing that tank with?

lol i did try feeding him crickets but he wasnt interested so i took them out (luckily) thanx now i know,the oscars didnt mind though,his belly is looking well rounded his been feasting on the guppies i got from troy i think cause all my bro's fish seem to be accounted for,his away in dbn so i just hijacked his tank,the majority of fish shud be ok they big enough not to fit in his mouth except the kribs which could be a possible target unless they keep to their usual nature and stay amongst the rocks,and thanx to troy theres enough mollies and guppies to keep him fed.right now his in the 900mm with a pair of angels,kribs,rams,paradise gouramis a small airwolf and a siamese

left, one didnt make it though.
Still havent had mollie fry....

thank u thank u i am just so happy cant wait till his big enough to put in the big boi tank,i saw some yesterday that were much bigger going for R695 but they werent nearly as nice as my 1.ha troy i dont believe that,now ur small dog is more my style lol

Reminds me of when I brought home my arowana Mine didn't eat for three days but then he was perfectly fine.

 

mine is eating fine from the looks of his tummy and i see him lurching forward trying to catch the guppies

 

down to 2 guppies and 3 mollies from about 40 in less than a week,my aro is the man
