Going to cape town to pick up his new 4ft tank next weekend and as soon as thats ready i will take some pics. The stand is finished and will be going in 4 powder coating next week aswell. I'm keen to get another one, because they really fascinating to watch. His also starting to get a bit more character now. Everytime I come check out the tank the eel pops his head. Read that you can get to feed them by hand eventually. Time will tell.

That's good to hear bud :)

I can't recommend this though. While it all looks like a lot of fun, there is logic behind keeping your hands out the tank. Besides the fact that morays have pointy teeth, they also have really bad eyesight. As such, they have a hard time distinguishing between food and feeder. Because the source of the smell of the food is coming from a general direction, the moray will strike in that direction.

From personal experience, I'd adivse against it. It really hurts and can lead to some nasty infections if you don't deal with it right.

I agree after watching a program on animal planet the other night. Moray eel grabbed a diver. Looked very ugly. Not going to be trying that one. But the eel is doing alright, Salinity is almost at 1.006. I put another internel box filter in as well, so now there is a bit more water circulation in the tank.
