    Hi everyone

I've also been keeping and breeding tropical fish for a few years. I have one 800lt malawi tank at the moment and had to scale down due to the heavy water restrictions in our area at the moment.

TASA is a magic site and wonder why I didnt join it a long time ago. But look forward to chatting and sharing any info I can with all of you.

    Scale down

    Howzit Butcher

I had 4 tanks on the go including the 800lt malawi tank, so I've sold the other 3 tanks which discus in them. So because of the water restrictions and the regular water changes on the discus tanks it was better to sell them and keep my discus at a friends petshop until things here really improve with our water. There hasn't been enough rain to fill our water tanks outside, thats how bad it is. So for now I'm just going to keep the malawi tank.

    Hi and welcome to TASA

Sorry to hear you had to scale down on your tanks I don't think that any one that is a big fish lover should ever go threw that especially if it is not your fault (the rain)

Im installing more rain water tanks but with no rain it doesnt help much and the municipality has restricted resisdents to only 15 kilo litres a month and if you go over that they fine you heavily per litre. Our supply dam is now sitting at just under 20%. Almost into our emergency supply.

Ja on this site of the valley the rivers and dams over flowing that is bad the people in charge of the country should make a plan to get some water to that part but no they will rather have expensive parties

that's a really harsh situation that you're in there. When I was down by you in December the dam was already seriously low, I can just imagine how bad it looks now
