The males are supposed to get white spots on their gill covers. But ... I've seen them on one of my goldfish that I know is a girl. They are also very small, you have to look quite closely to see them.

    Guys, guys, guys,

Jenn is quie right, when goldfish start wanting to reproduce in spring they develop these pimpels (Marius die goeters se naam is pUIsies) and that just means they are hoping to be able to reproduce. This is definitely NOT ich.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk

    Hi Marius
Have you any close up pictures of the fish?
Although this is breeding time, goldfish are also coming out of a very cold winter with a weaken immune system, making them susceptible to all kinds of nastiest
What is your water temp in the mornings?
    How old are the fish?
From the pictures above it just might be ick
    Lookout for the following symptoms
    Clamped/torn fins
    Heavy breathing
    Rubbing against objects
    Loss of appetite

They are very active, i added a bit of salt because of temp change. but ill keep an eye out thanks. They are young,id say about a year to maybe 2years tops. i noticed many only have them on the gills, but 2 of them looks like this. Ill try to take a closup pic and post it right away

OK, I also think this is not ich, but it could be some external parasite, something like Costia. These marks look too large for these breeding pimples.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk

hi, so i send some pics to some of my contacts, he said tit was white spot, when zoomed in the white spots had funges on it,the whitespot started looking better but some fishes tails has a white(ish) colour, so i dozed lots of salt and raised the temp to 26. So after 5 days if not better i have to get meds. Cant believe i have such badluck with fish, But i guess it started when i added some (bacopies) and some other plant, and i did clean with water also the water lilies, so thats where i made previous mistakes aswell. DAMN PLANTS--- just hope they get better soon

Okey the white spot is finaly gone. I used Pond Medic - Fungus clear . Also used salt and raised the temp to about 28. So thanx for all the advise.
