    Hi All,

I bought a group of 4 Gold Laser Corys about a year ago. Would have taken more but they are super pricey and they didnt have any more stock at the time anyway.

So as I came home Friday, I noticed that these guys have spawned (see pics below). Of course it is perfect timing - just before going away on leave for the holidays .

I will be moving the parents to a new larger tank and leave the eggs in place to hatch. Will be feeding bbs, microworm and vinegar eels once they hatch.

I have never bred corys before and if anyone can shed some light on the following I would really appreciate it:

1.) I do have Ramshorn snails in the tank. Will they eat the eggs? So far it doesnt seem like it.
2.) Are the eggs fertilized? I normally look for a darkish hue to eggs but not sure here.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi buddy with gold lazers usually the 1st spawn is duds ,telling by those pics eggs are already infertile.
Snails tend to munch on the eggs but those types of corys are quick to nibble on their own eggs.

Thanks! I suspected they might be infertile too. But thanks for the confirmation.

Will see if anything comes of it and post updates.

But please wait some days before removing to be sure. Remove the eggs and put them in a seperate container.

Microworms are perfect to raise fry.

Great to have more CW010. Pic made in 2016 at Pier Aquatics Wigan UK[IMG]
