Glass, wood, metal prices

I don’t know if this is allowed but why don’t we have a thread that has the prices on glass, wood and metal for us people who are brave(totally bonkers) enough to build their own tanks and stand. Yes I thought about the amount of money spent on phone calls and not having the names and telephone numbers of some things like cape town person knowing the places in jhb, but maybe there could be a ball park figure so we know what to expect, not go in to a glass shop and have our better halves stop us from falling flat on our backs.
