Glass tube or Stainless steel heaters

    Hi guys

    Was wondering if anyone on the forum has ever used the Stainless steel heaters as apposed to the glass ones.

    yes
    most of the stainless steel/ titanium type heaters require a thermostat to regulated them

    The ones I am looking at are SEBO and they have builtin thermostats.

    Waste of money in my opinion. Sebo is one of the cheapest and lowest quality heaters out there. If you want quality and not worry about cooking your fish buy Eheim. The glass they are made out of is also a very good glass that distributes the heat well. Their 300w is rated for 600L-1000L. That tells you a lot about the product.

    I tried the boyu steel heaters a few years ago. Both laster only a year before they broke. Luckily in the off position.
