    Hi all,

I have two glass catfish in my tank. I would like to know frome someone what arre the eating habits of this fish and what sort of habitat would they be comfortable in.

The reason that I am asking is that these two fish do not move from the one side of the tank at all. They also have a posture of having there bodies angling upward towards the surface as if they are waiting for prey.

I would class them as middle feeder.

    Can anyone assist?

Get a couple more if possible... I started out with 5 and now have 10 - they are far less shy and feed regularly (in fact some of the larger ones will eat frozen bloodworm from my hand). I feed directly into the current - as someof the articles above suggest, they are from the wild and are used to live food - so the food moves and they give chase!

As I have read in the websites supplied by slayer, its obviously better to have more, however glass fish are difficult to come by. Probably make some inquiries.

Question: What type of live foods?

They love brine shrimp - as well as daphnia (when you can get hold of it).

Have seen quite a few around town at the various lfs.

Had a terrible time this weekend. Today is the the first time I have gained access to the web.

I gave the glass-fish some brine shrimp this morning. You are quite correct in saying that daphnia are hard to come by.

    Thanx for the guidance.
