Hi all, I'm new to the forum anyway, I have a school of 8 glass catfish (until very recently 9) and prior to this incident I've had no problem feeding them. I hand feed them so I can keep an eye on who is or isn't eating properly and about two weeks ago I noticed one wasn't eating and steadily got thinner, I've had that particular one for about 3 months. It steadily got weaker and a few days ago it passed away. It never became white or cloudy which is usually an indicator that all is not well All my other glass catfish are very enthusiastic eaters and I've noticed no similar behavior in them.
In the attached photo it is the thin one at the top, the photo was taken in the morning before it died. Any ideas on what this could have been or feedback would be appreciated.

    It's working now.

Are any of the other fish showing the same behavior as the one that passed away or was it just the one? What do you feed them?

It's only that one, the rest eat very well. I feed them Tetra Prime pellets (I think that's the correct name, but I'm not home now to check), bloodworms once a week and they pick off the algae wafers I put in for my ancistrus

Did you try and give it bloodworm while it was 'sick' - asking because they will take to that more than flake or pellet food in general.

Only if I saw that it hadn't eaten any pellets at feeding time, then I'd net it and offer it bloodworms, even then it would only eat one at most whereas the others will get 3-4 down

Were there any other symptoms you found out of the norm? Like it swimming away from the others, stayed to the top or bottom, belly swelling, swimming head up or down, anything not 'normal'?

    Hi @hayleycw
I have a few of them and they really not shy eaters.
Try get some ocean nutrition brine shrimp with the garlic in it or get some seachem garlic guard and soak the food in it. Also try soak the prima so it is nice and soft for your fish.

@Chris_H no it behaved normally, it just stopped eating. Could this be a symptom of TB? I had one die a few months ago with a crooked spine which I attributed to one of my Corys slamming into him as they sometimes do, I don't know much about TB but I was told both of those were symptoms
@quattro mine all get very excited about food I was sometimes giving it pellets soaked in garlic juice after I noticed it was losing weight. Thanks for the advice, I'll keep it in mind if, heaven forbid, this happens again
