GGL ads while logged in?

    Not sure if things have changed on the site or if my ads blocker is on holiday - but should we be getting google ads if we're logged in?

    I see the top ad and one on the bottom of each page.

    Install Firefox, download "Add Block Plus" update to the latest add definitions and viola no more pesky adds and if they pop-up you can add them to your block list.

    I am on FF 40b11, ABP 1.3.3 is installed and has had a pattern update ... so plug-ins are a bit dodge at the moment, but I do not remember seeing adds on TASA before - well not if you logged in - could be wrong.

    Google ads are there on purpose to try and generate a little bit of income to help with the hosting costs for the forum. :)

    i've seen the ads, but i have to admit they quite subtle and not so "in your face", one hardly notices them..

    so for me, i'm ok with it.. at least its not huge banners taking up half the page...

    Thanks ZP .. I do appreciate that the site needs to explore all avenues to ensure sustainable cost shedding.

    Would one then not have to remove the registration invite "
    Hi Thanks for visiting Tropical Aquariums of South Africa. Please Register or Log In to remove these ads." Cause it makes it sound that no ads will be on TASA once you register .. bit of a stretch?

    Either way - I need to go fix ABP ..
