German blue rams

Nicolaas nou maak jy laat ek weer wil kry. Nog net die wyfie oor, sy lyk baie goed en is baie rustiger. Saw a very nice male at scottys, but ill wait a few days before considering,the stones I have in tank I think are from the shore? What would you recommend? I don't like to krap with ph , but if its something that wont botter the guppies,then ill do it, and ja, not keeping more then 2 if I get another one. Atleast the female is looking great and eating good aswell . Ai dis n jamerte, dit was sulke mooi visse

 

just want to show her of, the only one that's left . She is all over the tank and cant stop eating, shes looking very good. Maybe ill consider getting a male in a few weeks ... To sad leaving her all alone what would you say?

 

Hi all, so she is doing very great , more colour then ever, blackish colour below her . But sadly I had to kill 2 guppies the last few days,they get very skinny, this happened in the tank, few weeks now after the rams was introduced , worms? if so was told to use extra salt and see if they get better, I did saw a very very very small worm , barally visable when I did add a new betta but was in another tank, might be when I was working on tanks to get into another tank, anyway if the guppies get worms, what will be the signs? aswell what will have to be done if it is worms///////////// I just hope its not,one blonde lyre tail is skinny but I know they never tend to grow old , very small guppy,looks like an endler type ,,,, if any fish does get worse ill need to do something....

@Hawk thanks, theres a male I like in George, but a bit scared, she is aggressive and don't want to waste another hard worked R75 . But I will get a male soon, guppies seems do be just fine

 

Are they charging you R75.00 per Ram!

Shuus, no ill talk to him otherwise ill ask WillemNicolaas where to find another male close by, Oudtshoorns petshop i doubt had ever seen one, been more than 4 months since i last saw our shop. Anyway the female i have left is less agresive nowadays and looking very healty . I baught 4 for 300 ,ill make sure and check if i can find a slip

 

Your lucky Dewald, if I where to get one it will probably cost R90 or so.
I saw 4 balloon rams(totally wrong imo) at a lfs just now and they are asking R130 each at 3cm.

 

So I guess it depends on the lps

@Marius Swart I love you Ram. I am keeping an eye out myself for a mate for my lonely ram.
I just wanted to comment on the rock in the picture above. The one on the right with a grain. It looks like a Calcareous Sandstone. This could mess with your pH. I suggest you test it with some pool acid.
