Funny Story

I noticed on Friday that my airpump wasn't working, no air was coming thru the two long airstones. Today in addition to some fish, I bought a new airpump only to find that it wasn't working either. I then did what I should have done in the beginning, I took the two air pipes off and blew into them but still no air went thru. I know my lungs are working so I checked the piping and found that I had put the tank lid on top of the two pipes and that was why no air was going thru. I had taken the lid of to varnish the inside and when I put it back I actually made sure the pipes were out the way. Problem is it's a 6ft tank and the lid is obviously just as long, so I didn't see the pipes sneak back under the lid.

As you can imagine the old airpump still works perfectly! On the positive side I now have a spare airpump.

 

Haha... I'm sure that's happened to many of us before.
