Funny Spelling of Fish Names

    Haha I have seen strange spelling of fish in many petshops since I've been in the hobby. Every big cichlid that the petshop can't identify is sold as a Synspilum

    Yeah Malawi mix is a type of cichlid!

    any victorian is obligens, not even obliquidens,

    and compressiceps is compressor...

    When I was a lighty back in the 80s. There was a pet shop that used to label the Pleco as an "Airwolf" fish, after the Tv program by the same name because it looked like the helicopter.

    But think about it, the Pleco with Rotors, it does look similar to "Airwolf":bigsmile:

    Some I have come across are... Chicklets... for Cichlids..... the I hate when anyone refers to Chinese Fighters.... and .... Runny Nose Tetras.....
