Fungus on gills?

    Hi,

    My platty has a red gill (only one side), and it seems that there is some sort of fungi growing. Can someone ID please and perhaps recommend some meds?

    If you dont have plants I would add some salt.

    Tank is heavily planted :sad2:

    I'll see to maybe move him to another tank where I *can* add salt though. The platty should be fine in my other tank with the bigger fish

    Methylene Blue, should be able to get it at any pharmacy - works a charm for all fungal/bacterial infections (30 minute dip) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4VM_tiu1Ls)
    Salt 1 tbs per 4l (5% salt mix)
