I'd only use freeze dried tubifex. Definitely not frozen. It's too risky.

I wont buy anything frozen if it does not have the Ocean Nutrients label on it, been using it for years without any problems. At least with them you know were they get it and that they have high standards.

    Hey Marius
Ruto is a good old European brand and has been reliable in the past. However, if frozen foods aren't handled properly they go off. I would be extremely careful. Ocean Nutrition is indeed one of the best frozen food brands around.

Thanks , Ruto looks reliable , but as far as "tubifex" goes im just to scared to test it, it seems in great condition and no signs that it melted and so on, but i do love my fish to much

As has been said above, make sure you buy quality frozen food

brine and mysis shrimp, chopped mussel, daphnia etc
most of the manufacturers have a website, and you can see what they have to offer

To add to what @Reedfish said. If you read the back of the package you will ussually see what they add and remove from the food. If it is nice and detailed then you sommer know it is good quality food.
