Freshwater Crayfish

When i was still in high school one of my mates dads was breeding and selling freshwater crayfish..there was a colour diffs between the sex one being blue the other red and they were probably 10cm..i was one of the guys that bought and later on sold them....im wondering if by some freaky chance somewhere somehow someone in S A has or knows someone that has as they make awesome showpieces...Shot....

 

They might be on the blacklist...? I'm sure Henk will let you know. They do look really cool though!

agree with ferryman. these are black listed and will always be so .
stay away from them. they can destroy tanks and ecosystems with ease

 

i think if you google a bit, you'll find places where these creatures have already destroyed most of the surrounding ecosystem balances by multiplying too fast, taking over the local population and eating, breaking or messing up the flora of the area.
they look interesting, but are not to be dabbled in

 

just to confirm what Henk has told me, cause i wanted freshwater crabs...ALL CRUSTACEANS ARE ILLEGAL...
