    This has been moved to another thread as the title of the old thread didnt do it justice. Besides they are for sale now and not for trade, unless someone is willing to part with a PS3 or xbox or something equally entertaining....gift vouchers to teazers will also be considered [IMG]

    So...the deal is.....

    my 2000mm x 600mm x 600mm (WH is 500mm), with builtin filters (x2), glass sliders, pumps, heaters, electronic ballasts, gravel, rocks, etc, etc.

    one catch though is the fish either go with the tanks or they go before the tanks go as they are currently in use.

    fish are;

    2 x large albino tiger red/orage oscars

    2 x breeding pair jaguar cichlids

    4 x SDs (1 is spotted SD)

    1 x medium green terror

    1 x feather fin synodontis fully grown (possibly)

    1 x sh1t little convict that managed to get away from the above

    a few khuli loaches

    in the 4ft is;

    2 x breeding pair of cons (live food source for the above)

    1 x small red oscar

    1 x single spotted synodontis (synodontis notatus)

    a few khuli loaches

    and all my fishy stuff. includes 2 x 2300 LPH pumps with 2m head from Dave at kennilworth

    R2500.non neg. and not selling separately either. obviously the tanks can be sold separately but not the equipment

    pics can be viewed here for the 2 m http://www.tropicalaquarium.co.za/showthread.php?t=760 (sorry for the external link to another forum)

    and

    4ft http://www.fishforum.co.za/forum/index.php/topic,2580.msg22268.html#msg22268 (note not the same fish in pics

    Why? What are your reasons for selling?

    I'd love them, but I just bought a new bank of tanks. Pity, I, would have taken them if this had been posted 1 week ago.

    reasons for selling is because i am moving and have frequent long power failures from 1 hour to 8 hours....but they generally go towards the 8 hour mark...not fair on the fish when the filter starts up and then all that anerobic bacteria gets pumped into the tank....

    here is a pic of the 4ft. this a full tank shot done in august of last year...only thing that has changed it decor and fish...

    Such a pity man!! Would have been perfect for breeding my discus. If the tank is still available at the end of August, I'll take it, but I doubt it will be, for that price.

    will for my ears sake (cos it will stay at my folks place till gets sold) before end of august would be beautiful!

    just to let everyone know, if you just want 1 of the tanks then here is the individual pricing for them;

    2m tank complete and all fishy stuff - R2000. all the fishy stuff will go with the 2m as i feel its only fair....

    4ft tank complete - R1000 as per original post...

    will throw in an eheim pro2 2028a. one problem is that it needs new pump housing O-ring and the lid where it connects to the base, will also need an O-ring as well...otherwise perfect condition, brand new impellar and impellar shaft...

    What is the weight of the 2m ?

    I am interested ... just wonder how we will load them all ... could be a nice project for tomorrow ;-)

    Interest is for the lot not individuals ..

    2m back and sides painted in black...
    4ft just back and 1 side painted light blue...

    well i used the new T5 caravelle to transport the 2m with stand....it just fitted!

    Is that the dry weight of the tank and stand? Whats the weight of the tank alone?

    as i said i was guessing but yes its the dry wait of the tank alone....was just my brother and myself who moved it. got picked up and carried for a few meters and then put down...then again, till it was on the stand...that thing is bitch ass heavy... you can do the math if you want an exact measurement...all glass is in 10mm, plus builtin filters which are also built with 10mm glass...

    Sounds like a plan - the 4ft will fit in the caddy so we could do this in 1 trip
