For all in Potchefstroom

Hi Guys and Girls......

I know I might be insulting some People now but I have to say this!

We all know that Luck Fish Pet shop is Potch's "main" Pet shop but I really think that the Owner should get better staff
I was there this morning and I wanted to buy a few fish for a new Display tank that I have just setup, so I decided a few Neon's (20) would look great. I had to wait for 10min before I was helped and I was the only person in the shop the guy came over to me with a crap attitude asked if he could help, I told him what I wanted and he grabbed a bag filled it with water and started to catch the fish but was very aggressive, He smashed a few of them against the glass and then put them in to the net. You could see they go hurt so I told him I do not want them so with a moan and grown he cought others for me. I asked him a few questions of which he could only answer one...
I pointed out that the one tank has white spot in it, I mean you can see it on almost all the fish, he said it is not, there is nothing wrong with the fish that is how they look like.....

I know there is nothing I can do about it but I just feel that every body in Potch should know about this maybe there is someone that can do something to get this guy right considering he knows it all.....
Sorry if I have broken the rules but it had to be done.

 

Gareth26 you have done the right thing, i would have taken the net and bag away from the staff member and shown him how to catch fish ... done this in a LFS in bothasig here in CPT ... now when i go there they leave me alone .....
I would have asked for the owner on my way out

 

Seriously this must be the only industry where the staff do not understand the product they deal with.

 

I think most staff that work in LFS just do it cause there is nothing else to do and no other work or high school students that just dont realy care. They are not hobbyists like us.

They don't care, just as long as they get the pay cheque at the end of the month they are happy

 

the thing is who wants to work in LFS for R1500 a month? Gareth you should complain to the owner IF you see him there, im also not happy with the staf in that LFS.
Witch of the staff was it, the guy with the black hair? or that new blond one?

Gareth have you been 2 that pet shop in miederpark lately up the street of the Spar, now thats a shocker.

that place is even worse than the other now with the new owners there is never new stock and the one in miederpark was there yesterday and man those tanks looks bad and also the stock is low

So now everyone wants to know why we buy from joburg

 

that shop in lombardstreet is also not going to make it AGAIN with the new owners, do even go to kleinplaas for fish suplies etc

 

Hey Johan you should really go have a look at the one in Lombard street they have excellent service the tanks are clean the fish look great but unfortunately they don't know a lot but they said they will be joining the forum so they can learn as I suggested to them.

I was there today as well it looks much better now that there are new owners
they are at least willing to help and if they don't know they try to find out.

but as for Lucky Fish it can close down for all I care..... O and both of those guys were there but the one with the dark hair "helped" me.... the other was playing with the Parrot.

As for Klienplaas I was there once and never ever again.....

 

which of these shops is the one that imports discus in potch ? Have heard something like that but could be wrong.....

No you are thinking Of Chris he imports Discus and sells them from his house.
But this Pet shop sell for him as well

No Chris has an Awesome setup and his discus are all healthy and everything is very clean and Chris knows his Discus stuff thats for sure....

 

Chris is a very reliable source for discus and i have 2 agree with gareth on his setup, its amazing
