Freebie: Flying fox

    I got the fish with the tank way back, does not fit with my South American tank. I was told it was a Siamese algae eater but I believe it to be a flying fox. Either way I would like to rehome the guy. I am in Rietvalleirand, Pretoria.

    siamese algae eater. See the black lateral like extends into the tail. Flying fox it stops before the tail. Good BBA eater.

    I agree. Looked like a true SAE to me too but haven’t kept them myself so didn’t want to say.

    They're really nice fish! I have 2 and they're quite fun to watch! I don't have any bba (touch wood) so I haven't seen them going for that but they do definitely help a bit with cleaning up left over food

    Perhaps you have no BBA because you have 2 SAEs :thumbup:
