Yes it is the Seachem Flourite. It has high iron content amoung other things. The reason why people buy it, is because plants grow so well in it. It is quite expensive though.

    Regards

Seachem Flourite works wonders as a substrate as it is rich in iron and other beneficial elements. You will however still have to do water column supplementation.
In my experience, Pet Masters would be able to supply and so would Jungle Aquatics. Speak with Jose and Bryan respectively.

Jungle has recently got a rather large shipment of Flourite in.

You could also try AK Atterbury

Look at the PFP thread in the prof's section on the forum - a much better and cheaper option

It is messy and not worth the expense, IMO. As stated above, there are cheaper alternatives and one could always also opt to only dose through the water column. Even heavy "root feeders" feed actively through their leaves. I tend to use the substrate that the fish species I keep prefer and then only dose through the water column. I also do not like substrate mixing, but don't knock others who do. It's just me. LOL!

I planted both my tanks with fourite dark and love it... so do the plants, I previously had filtersand with growsticks which went anerobic and had to chuck the lot, plenty of people have posted really good results using PFP/chemicault so it must be good, frankly if you look at the cost of the entire tank/equipment/plants a solid substrate is worth the investment... LFS in cape town price around 275 a bag.. my 400l took just over 5bags

Some people have used it mixed with other substrates but I just love the look of the dark
