    I wouldn't take a chance.
    Rather buy a new bottle.

    I also have one of those at home. I got it from a lady who kept fish about three years ago, and she bought it from a Pawn Shop. It still works, just not as well as a brand new bottle

    All Chemicals expire some time or another, please don't use expired chemicals and foods in you aquariums. you would not feed your dog cat or kid expired foods why give it to your fish.

    PS i see in your other post that you say you are using rain water, you only need the above chemicals if you plan to use tap water. I personally prefer not to use those chemicals, I age and agitate my water with and air stone for 24 hours before adding it to my tanks

    I do the same, but sometimes you need a quick change of water and thus you can't wait. Don't misunderstand me though, I've only used the aforementioned bottle once or twice I think, and if I need water quickly I use a new one

    Ah the good old days! The days before the currency or some other reason was given to exploit the consumer.

    @Kieshara

    How are you catching the rain water?
    Are you sure there is no dust or anything else in it?

    im not sure so please correct me if im wrong but I think its only safe if the water is being constantly used and is filling up regularly, especially if its a metal tank ,

    Is the run off from a roof?
    There can be a lot of dust, moss and bird poo going into the storage container.

    I have a rain catching system off one of my gutters.
    I have tested it for nitrates etc and it seems clean. But I am still a bit scared to use it in my Discus tank.
    I could start purifying it, but with all that effort, I may as we'll use RO from my tap
