    Can anyone tell me what type of fish this is and how this fish is ?

    That is Neolamprologus brichardi "daffodil"
    A good community type tanganyican, but very aggressive when breeding.

    How old or big do they have to be to breed and I suppose they are egg layers

    They are egg layers. Need to be in a species tank to breed successfully. Breed at around 6cm or so

    They are about 3-4 cm now and the one is digging under a rock and when the one comes closer the other one is shiffering is this a sign and is there a way of sexing them

    can u tell from the pic above or not (sexing)

    This could be a sign...how many do you have? Almost impossible to sex them at that size.

    As pairs develop, you will see others will be chased to other ends of the tank. If no hiding is available they will be killed by the pair.

    Okay will have to watch them closely but if they are a bit bigger how do you sex them then

    Males can develop a very slight bump on the forehead, but even that is not conclusive

    I think I am going to get my self a few of them can they be kept with a rock dwellers or do I need a Species tank just for them?

    Hi guys I just thought that I would keep you updated on the whole thread the fish are still the same size and still can't see witch is male or witch is female but last week Wednesday I saw fry and they are still going strong I must say that the parents are great they are taking good care of them I got a little video here just to show you sorry about the quality of it,o and you my notice the angel eggs as well but unfortunately this morning their were gone

    nice...

    They breed like rabbits and will take over the tank...
