Fish grooming Fish???

    Hi guys. I saw an interesting phenomenon, to me any way. My Moonlight Guorami rears towards my discus. In turn my discus starts cleaning the side of the guorami. I am assuming the discus are cleaning off micro parasites. Never seen it before. Has anyone else seen this or must I contact National Geographic

    iv seen my pleco sucking on my oscars mouth,they probably just snacking.

    Iv seen Clearer Wrass do it in my uncles marine tank, but they are known for it i guess...but if this is happening to discus, it sounds interesting. I wouldnt mind having a fish cleaning fish station in my tank.

    My pleco sucks on my Shovelnose Catfish's back, don't know if it's grooming though.

    Sure its not sucking of the mucas of the catfish back? iv been told Plecos do this to other fish

    Well I've been monitoring him for any signs of distress or damage but he seems fine, he hardly notices when the pleco does it. Haven't seen it happen in a while.

    I just know Discus have a tasty(i haven't tasted it:p) mucus that other fish like to eat.
