Fish Food for Mbuna

Hope this is the correct forum.

Looking for a reasonably priced sinking food, that needs to be plant/veggie based.

Tank full of mbuna can be pricey to keep satisfied.

Any options will be appreciated

I feed Cichlid Excel sinking pellets from Hikari.
With that i feed weekly either bloodworms/mysis shrimp

Excellent results

 

I agree with the Hikari sinking pellets, but it's quite expensive with a full tank of them. I'm hoping for something abit more reasonably priced

Hi Bud we make a vegie based frozen food.

 

Yes its expensive but i usr one small packet in 2 months so not that hard on the wallet

While I have central american cichlids , the hikari line for cichlids goes a long way because its so protein dense. You dont need to feed too often with them. Plus youll get the full colour out of them , Im not even paid to say that but it honestly is the best brand for cichlids in my limited experience. Bonus is there is never any leftovers that you have to clean
