first try with tiger barbs

    Hey all, i'm giving tiger barbs a try, thanks @hviviers75 for all the info and tips so far, i currently have 12 tiger barbs which is two albino's, 2 green tiger barbs, 7 normal tiger barbs and one that has a pinkish color and is darker, i don't know what type it is. here is a few pics of them

    That second to last picture looks more like a black ruby barb, not a tiger barb. Maybe some of the others in other pictures too.

    Hey dude, it is only a pleasure bud. Glad you could get some nice barbs. The other fish you got are Black ruby barbs, how many of them do you have?

    They are looking nice and healthy, they will start behaving normally after a few days. You can do their first water change on Wednesday and then another one of Saturday.

    Your tank is looking nice, see you have not moved all the plants to the back of the tank yet. Are you still planning on doing this it will looks much better, place all the same type in one bush and then you can place the sword a bit of center.

    Enjoy your Tiger barbs they are really awesome.

    Yes you all are right they are Black ruby barbs, I really do hope you got one or two males as they are awesome in color when they get bigger.

    How many of them do you have?

    i don't know, i will have to search for a few images to identify them easier, is this a problem? those are the extras i score saturday plus the albino's and green tigers.

    My tiger barbs is going mad, they love their tank. I added some wood and it turned my water, it looks like tea, but it don't bother them

    Nice man that is awesome news they have probably grown a bit since the last updated photo. Yeah after a few water changes it will clear up, you could also use some carbon if you got some.

    Don't know how I missed your thread, but congratulations on your new setup! Looks great! With The BARB King's help you'll soon be just as big a fanatic as he is!
