    Hey All,

    So il try make this long story short, but a few years back i got my "first" fish tank from my landlord at the time. I put it together and got some fish and off i went. Then my Angel fish started breeding! I was so surprised, but very excited about it! They became very aggressive to the other fish in the tank though, so I had to give away my other fish in the hope that the angels would be happier. After a few successful runs at the breeding i was giving the babies to my LFS in exchange for what ever i needed for my fish.

    Then one morning I walked into my lounge, and to my horror my one angel was floating sideways... as i stuck my hand in to try and right the fish, i was met with a scalding burn. It seems the heater in my tank had broken, and basically boiled my fish...

    Fast forward to today, My Aunt passed away and left me a fish tank. So after having a few issues with some broken glass, iv finally got it up and running! The idea was to create a sort of underwater tree for the fish to swim around...

    Still not sure what fish im going to put in, so suggestions are welcome!

    Hi @Tom and welcome back to fish keeping!!

    That is a nice tank, nice size too to enable you more options on the fish you can keep
    I like the scape, I think it came out very, very nice
    Are those all live plants?

    Thanks! Im also happy with the way it came out!
    Yes all live plants, i think they look a lot better than the fake plants, and I enjoy the "aquascape" almost as much as the fish :)

    What is the variegated plant in the right front and left rear?
    It almost doesn't looks like an aquatic plant.

    @Tom
    Looks good. Very nice.:cool:

    If those bits of wood were in the pond, you should be mindful that they could have picked up some nasties (parasites or predatory insects) that may harm your fish. Keep an eye out.

    I agree with you, nothing like live plants
    I asked because as @Pezulu mentioned, some dont look aquatic to me so keep an eye on them as they might or, will eventually start rotting and foul your water
