First Breeding Tank

    One thing I have always wanted to do is have breed...

    While chatting on a forum I was given a tank and pretty much everything esle I needed, I have since setup the tank cyceled it and have added the fish...

    nice tank i am also going to start breeding apistos .what are the specs of the tank.

    Lol ok I really need to make sure when I type Thanks Gaawie...

    @MC1 - Bud the tank is a 40L tank 45 x 30 x 30... I got it from a guy who breeds for a living and mainly Apistos, The substrate is black gravel and there are plenty of plants, the Rocks and drift wood is used to make caves as they hide - A LOT.

    I was watching my female last night, she has started digging and I believe thats all part of the prep...

    Oh and did I mention Speedy the apple Snail for keeping the tank nice and Clean.

    Speedy might also keep the tank clean off eggs, so check that evil snail :)

    So would a 50litre be ok for them to breed in and to have the fry in or would a 100litre be better..??

    50L should be cool bud 100L would be better, but I guess it all depends on how big you want to take it.
    I dint know really this my first breeding atempt so I am as new to this ad you are.

    Let's see and learn together I will try and find out some more info for you anything else you would like to know?
