    Hi

    my question is three fold

i have a800ltr tank in which i keep my bigger fish , and it has a high bioload

the tanks has a builtin bio filter (not sure on flow rate or how to work this out as its my first time using this kind of filter.) i also have two dophin c1000 canister filters (rated at 1000 ltrs per hour )

i need to know how does this internal filter work ?

secondly is my filtration enough ?

and thirdly can the internal biofilter be converted to a sump , just easier to maintain given the high bioload and would prefer to see the filtration process so i have a idea of how often to change the media , in particular the foam used in the filter.

    thanks

    Hi Enver
You should have more than enough filtration with what you have there. Can we see some pictures on this internal bio-filter.

    regards

    Hi

please see the pics , sorry but they not clear taken with my phone this morning . basically the first image is a inlet and outlet, the outlet hase somesort of power head as the water is pushed back into the tank with a little bit of pressure, the second is not so clear but is basicaly a mirror cover of the filter.

i just dont know how the inlet is fed though ?

any ideas about converting this to a sump, i think it can be done .

Your two cannisters are great together with the internal setup. What I would suggest is you add in a HAILEA HL-BT1000, 1000L/hr, that will polish your water for you. I remove the carbon container and replace it and the sponge with a larger piece of sponge. You will find you need to clean it out weekly. Exotic Aquariums, Boksburg North stock them and the price is great.
