female guppies being weird

Hi

Some of my female guppies are hiding in the corner of my tank close to the surface in groups of two or more. The group of guppies that are doing this was previously in a female only tank. They don't show any visible signs of being sick.

Are they just hiding from my males or what can be the reason for them doing this?

 

Are they heavily pregnant? Often, female guppies will go off by themselves to give birth.

 

Some of them are pregnant and some of them are not that heavy pregnant?

Hi, I don't want to hijack this thread, but yesterday one of my guppies also started acting weird.It just started to lay still at the bottom of the tank. Its not dead.
After getting quite flustered reading all the posts about what could be wrong with the water I rushed home and changed 30% of the water. I am not sure how to clean the gravel (I believe its called substrate) though. In the past I just emptied the tank,cleaned it and chucked the fish back in.




Where can I find the diagnoses sheet to fill in? Also the rest of the inhabitants plus the two plants are happy.

Please help.
