Fat Guppy Female - Not Pregnant

    @Noodle - Thanx, sounds like good advice. I've tried regular feedings of blanched peas which also help for digestion, but this has had no effect. I've added non-iodized sea salt to the tank, but will try Epsom salts if there's no change in the next week.

    Good suggestion @Noodle. I've heard of using Epsom Salts so in a case like this it's worth a try. What have you got to lose.

    Alternativley give her prune juice and some Special K :laugh:

    Do you have any feedback on what happened to your guppy? Did you use Epsom salts?

    Nope, it didn't work. She eventually died.

    Do you feed your fish any foods that contain stomach laxatives?

    I was reading up on keeping some fish that develop stomach problems easily and the poster mentioned that a diet which includes laxatives are a must for fish that breed often,develop bloat or have stomach problems.

    I don't have a link to the post atm but i found it while looking for tips on keeping Tropheus which seem to bloat easily.
