    Hi TASA,

Has anyone bought from Betterweather recently? I placed an order today for plants etc. Order was paid and POP was sent through. I'm just wondering how the process will go from here on. I did email them but didn't receive any replies.

    Thanks

Never had any issue with Betterweather.
He is normally fairly busy so expect a delay in email replies.
Most online shops only send out packages once funds clear in their bank account, so should hopefully be shipped soon.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm aware of the fact that things usually get sent once payment has cleared. It's the first time I'm buying online from another store. I only buy my stuff from one store online and the process was a little different.

The plants are very well priced as well as the accessories hence the reason for trying them. Will definitely deal with them again.

I'm sure I'll get my things it's just the process going through it. Will keep you guys posted. I have heard good things about Betterweather I'm just always hesitant when buying online.

I have bought many time before, no complaints or issues. My last purchase was about a month ago - plants were delivered early in the following week.

    Thanks,

I haven't received anything info regarding the order yet, just the order confirmation and awaiting bank transfer mail. I am only expecting the stuff next week anyway, but I think I'm just being paranoid.

PM'd, hope it will help. Richard is usually awesome to deal with. Let's keep in mind this is a side hussle for him so he does have a normal 9-5, often has to work late and on top of that he has a young daughter.
    Hope you come right.
I buy from him regularly and he is very accommodating where he can be. His plants are also top quality for very reasonable prices.

Ok, I got a hold of Richard at betterweather thanks to @Saibot. Richard is a real pleasant guy to work with. I will definitely be returning back to him for plants.

Glad to hear the outcome. I feel it is important to support as many of the smaller guys as possible. Both our hobby and our economy depend on it.

I had a look at that actually, to throw this thread completely of track now. How is this scape ? I have read good reviews on it but I have never used it and apparently its locally made. I can be completely wrong about this.

I have been using Scape Dechlorinator now for 3 months and had no issues. I would say Seachem Prime is still a better product as it claims to bond with the ammonia for a time period to make it safe while the bacteria catches up but I can't be sure of that.
Scape Liquid Carbon is awesome. I saw huge growth in my stem plants from using this product. Richard claims the others are good too and he uses it as well. When you see the quality of his plants you'll realise he must be onto something.
I am yet to try any other ferts or the Backup (Stability/Bacteria jump start equivalent) as I have seachem and other products to keep me going but I will be sticking with the Declorinator and the Liquid Carbon for sure.

Cool, I'm getting my CO2 system next week so I shouldn't need liquid carbon I think. I was looking specifically at the SCAPE Complete. I should maybe get it and start with it as soon as the plants has settled.

Yeah try it out. Let us know please. I am keen to go completely Scape as it is a local product and if it serves the same purpose is a heck of load cheaper than other products on the market.
