Entry 1 for Guppy Challenge 2: WaterWalker

So, after seeing all the other entries, I'm reluctant to enter. But if I don't, I might miss out on some awesome guppies of my own. I will enter my second pair of guppies at a later stage as they ar not quite ready yet. So, here goes...

Setup: 2ft Shrimp tank. River sand substrate. Will upload picture later

Breeding stock:

Male 1:




Description: Stressed Fantail guppy.
What you like about it: Normally, the dorsal fin edges are yellow or black. The tail is also a bit darker with a striking yellow. (Please mind the bad shape of the tail, he was bullied in the community tank).
Where it came from: Offspring of a wild-caught guppy.

Female 1:




Description:She's about 3cm long. One of three females that are that big. Age is a little over 5 months.
What you like about it: Tail shape. Hopefully she has the Delta tail gene. (Almost looks like it). Also, just her sheer size.
Where it came from: Take a guess, because yours would probably be better than mine.

Goals: Well, I don't know much about guppy breeding. So first I'd like to learn about genetics. And since I'm better at hands-on learning, I'd get to know a lot by this. I'd also like to have that dorsal fin color in the offspring. Maybe have it a bit longer as well.

That make looks like he can carry some nice genes in terms of shape.

It's the whole point of this challenge, to take what we have and breed something even better.
