electronic CO2 deoxcide defuser

Want to start a planted tank.looked at cost of running*CO2*two ways. 1 Cost Buying*CO2, regulator R560,*CO2*fire exst R200, solonoiad R250,*CO2*drop measure R130, extras R200 total cost R1340, VS electronic carbon*CO2*defuser R299 replacement of cartridge .R150 every 6 Months. I read up on electronic defuser and not alot of info is available, thought I will trey electronic defuser see how it would go. Running now for a week and can't see any change in colour in the*CO2*measure, colour still blue there is what looks like bubbles being released in water, is it just n gimmick perhaps or does any one perhaps have info and the effectiveness.******

 

Those electric stuff doesn't work and sould actually not be sold it makes a mess of your tank

 

Thanks for the update, can i trow a few questions out there. Have you used it before perhaps, do you know if the mess is caused by over use or when the carbon is old, do you know if it actually does produce CO2.

 

Ive had one and a few others also it just produces waiste that really mess up the tank. You will see bubbles on the carbon plate but that isnt co2 its o2. I didnt see a difference in my tank because I removed it after a week

 

Removed the unit this morning as i removed it black water started running out from the unit. Thanks for the advice man. Went to get CO2 setup today, its installed and running now. Start up cost is insane though.
