    Hi guys and girls

Just bought an electronic ballast a little confused with one of the connections.

As per the below pic, the 2nd pin is earth and the 3rd is live. Is the first pin

It's AC - so that is your primary side of the transformers. Which goes where doesn't matter in terms of Live & Neutral. You have Live, Earth, and Neutral there (Red, Green/Yellow, Black or Blue, Green/Yellow, Brown)

    Thx cknipe, so just to confirm, 1 - neutral(blue), 2 - earth(yellow/green) and 3 - live(brown).

As @cknipe said; ...it is AC so from a functional point of view it won't matter. But I would always connect 'Live' to terminal 1. Any electrical diagram (AC, AC 3ph, ...even DC) will always be drawn that way.
