Are there any options available locally for battery power timer switches?
It's a nightmare trying to reset lights and C02 timers after every load shedding cycle.

I picked up a few from a China shop. Electronic with battery backup. Has the ability to keep up to 4 different time sets. Was around R150 each.

Thanks! I see that the Major tech digital ones from builders also have batteries, just a bit more pricey

Yeah, Major Tech is a bit too expensive. Ive had these for around 2 years now and havent had to replace any of the batteries.

If you pay a little more, the quality is usually better than the cheaper ones. They'll last you a good long time before you need to replace batteries.

It is what it is. I've learnt it the hard way, cheaper is not always the best quality.

Major tech is what I use for my tank. Running 2 X for lights and CO2. Using them in the pool and geyser as well as the irrigation system. Not a days issue with all 5 of them.
They are a bit more expensive depending if you get the wall plug in ones or the DIN rail mount ones but definitely worth it.

Just buy a wifi plug. It saves the time schedules in the cloud and even provides useful power usage etc.
