Hello everyone. So I started a new tank after not having one for a few years.
1200.500x500 with a sump, planted and co2. I do not have many fish in there at the moment some panda coreys, tetras, bristle nose pleco, otocinclus and a pair of Electric Blue Acara's /Rams.

Now the Blues have spawned the wrigglers have become free swimming fry and there is a bucket load of them. What you see in the picture is only about half the spawn. I am not a breeder but have enjoyed this little process. I now have a grow out tank and dong the whole brine shrimp thing, purely as I did not want to waste the effort these fish went through.

So I have not thought this through properly as you may be able to tell. I will soon have a grow out tank with quite a few of these lovely fish. What should I do with them once big enough? and I suppose my question is what does everyone else here do? Sell? Give away? looking for some advice and next steps.

    Congrats!
Yes you can sell once they’re a reasonable size, otherwise donate. With some common fish eg guppies who breed like rabbits, it is sometimes hard to even give away as freebies.

Nice! It’s so rewarding going through the whole process from spawning to juveniles.

I almost certainly would’ve taken a pair had you been based on CT.

Perhaps research the going rate at your LFS or online and try post in the livestock classifieds when you’re ready to sell?

If you want some please contact @Zuraki - he's based in CT (paarl side) and has tons he's trying to rehome (also started as one breeding pair and now he has more than he knows what to do with).

I have also done this in the past.
But if you have a few breeding pairs, the lfs reaches saturation point fairly quickly too
