    Hi,

I'm in search of eels in the CT area. I'm kind of new in the western cape and I don't know the locations of all the lfs here. Can anyone help me with finding some fw eels? Nothing too big though. Or even Pangio anguillaris would be a better option.

    Thanks

Already checked those two and they're a bit too large. Are there any fw eels in the local rivers of the western cape?

dont know - but you need some serious permits to collect anything to keep in a tank

    Hi virgildonatfan
it is not the only one but diffenetly one of the better ones.
One of the biggest variety you'll find at oncle sam in tokai, it is always worth a try but be warned. You should know what you want otherwise you will come out with a lot of stuff just not what you went there for:bigsmile:
He nearly always has spiny eels and often also unusual typ's but i warned you:blink1:

You won't likely see one here, unless it's brought in by accident among other spiny eel species. It can happen, so keep your eyes peeled.

I've noticed a whole vareity of species of eels have come through when orders of tyre-track eels come in, maybe you'll have some luck there.

I'v seen them..a shipment of wild caught cichlids came in from tanganyika last year..some eels too..they are stunning..i doubt you'l find them amongst shipments of other eels..they stand out way too much to get imported with spiny eels by mistake

Peter: I go there quite regularly. They normally have a decent selection of stock at a good price.

Sorry, just read the whole thread again.
They don't normally have many eels, but a good selection of fish in general.

I would say that if you compare range, then Panorama is most probably a bit better as it is a FAR bigger store.
But you should check out both. I believe that the more you look around the better you can bargain with the stores.
