Dubai Aquarium and underwater zoo visit

Hi guys

So inspired by @Reedfish visit to the aquarium in London I'll share pictures I took from my visit in December 2020 bear in mind that at this time I was not interested in terrariums or planted tanks so I did a crappy job getting proper pictures, I will go soon and update this thread with much better pictures. Most tanks were just below eye level with eye level being one huge forest going up as high as you can see.

Its at the Dubai mall so I'm pretty sure it was here unless you were here a really long time ago. You should definitely make a trip and meet us when you're here

 

Yes but not in individual set ups like the above.

Yes this is the one that covers 2 floors, the marine tank is literally just that huge one with many types of fish and a tunnel. The Sharjah aquarium was brilliant in having fish separately so as the one at Atlantis.

The aquarium is the big one you talk of and the freshwater is part of the underwater zoo upstairs. It's full with fish and a walkthrough forest on the upper level which is all linked to the tanks down complete with animals freely roaming.

 

The downstairs one is pretty disappointing if you've paid to see it because the best view is from outside which is from the mall walkway itself.

Where did you scuba here? Have you done the snoopy island one?

I've done the dives out of Jumeirah beach 1 a few times and liked it but I felt it a little bleak because you see the same schools at the same spots and they are so used to the divers coming over that you hand-feed them which is cool but it takes away from the surprise of the dive. My trip to Maldives was definitely the best I've got to see
