driftwood leaching

    how do you stop driftwood from leaching i heard you can put something in that will stop it from leaching

    what do you mean by leaching if you mean the colouring of the water it will and should not stop. It is not harmful to your fish and many even say it is beneficial to there well-being
    BUt than again do you talk about drift wood from the beach and you refer to the leaching of salt? Here a storage in distilled water would help
