It looks like a Black Neon Tetra to me. They prefer to be in schools of at least 4, but the more the better.

I've also noticed some albinos of this species coming around some pet stores, which look great when they shoal with the regular coloured varieties.

Score ;). Are they in your 30l? Or have you got another tank going. I'm starting to get the picture that your tank might be getting slightly full...?

Thanks guys, no not in the 30 litre, theyre in a 100 litre :) lol
The 30 litre just has my betta's, platies and black widows in it. The new ones are quarantined at th mo as the female sword has a bit of ick, but as soon as she is ok I'll move my 6 black widows from the 30 litre in with the newby's. So I suppose in two or so weeks wen theyre sorted and settled I beta get some black neon buddies for the neon. Also the female sword is by herself, do they like company, thought of maybe getting a male and maybe one other female. Wat u reckon?

I've found that Swordtails like to be in groups, preferably with more females than males. This just ensures that the males won't have competition due to lack of females.

Go ahead with getting another female and a male, but be warned, they WILL breed!
