Dolphin 1600 canister filter

Wanted to rig up another canister in my tank but now see the motor is faulty/dead as its an epoxy unit cant repair it .The canister is unused about 15 month old [was a back up ] so warranty is void . Any one have a broken canister section that will sell me the motor section ?Local petshop tells me the agents want R1000 for the motor section only any one with advice ??

 

I have a cascade 1000 im selling. Motor runs perfectly and should work just pump less water.
