    Hi All

I'd also like to belatedly introduce myself, I live in Randburg, Gauteng. I've been keeping fish for a number of years and my current exercise is maintaining a rather moody Discus tank.

I have extensive experience with South American/Amazonian biotopes and have, with partial success, bred Discus. In a few years I would like to tackle the rigors of maintaining a salt-water tank.

I'll happily answer any questions relating to tank management, maintenance, and water chemistry.

"One doesn't keep fish, one keeps water, the fish are a by-product"

    Welcome McAnix.

Trust you will hang around long enough to share your wealth of knowledge. I always beleive that if someone can keep discus, then they can give suitable advice, and I'll listen. (If you only keep guppies, the shut up!! Hehe)

No worries. I can't get guppies to stay alive either. I started with 7 2 months ago, and now I'm down to one male and one female. Angels, tetra's, and cory's on the other hand just don't die!
