Had to split my tank for a few days. Bought my friend some fish she could only collect later and this easy to make and cheap screen solved the problem.

Plastic mesh bought at Builders warehouse garden section and plastic file binders from a stationary store...

Cut screen to size and slide binders over...

Interlock corners. I used binders on all 4 sides to make it extra sturdy as the fish were in the same tank as my betta.

    Screen done!

I pushed the bottom into the gravel and used sucker cups i bought at the pet store to keep the top in place.
Even added a tube from plastic mesh for the betta to swim through.

Super cheap, fast and effective. ;)

Nice DIY, thanks for sharing. Must say it looks very neat, they also have the green screen if memory serves ... this will also work well if you want to start a moss wall.

    Later Ferdie

Genius idea. This will also help if you trying to catch specific fish for quarantine or some other reason.

Very nicely done, another option would be to use eggcrate

I have been toying with an idea of a moss wall, and the Youtube videos in place look very elaborate and complicated.
Sure the shrimp will appreciate a nice moss wall.

I built 3 mosswalls for my shrimp tanks, It was suprisingly easy.
The only issue I have is that the holes in the grid are still a bit on the big side, and allow some of the moss to be pulled out.
Using the dark green mesh and black binders, the screen looks natural.
I can't wait for the moss to start growing out.

Brilliant idea, especially like the moss wall idea I was just thinking about what to do with a bunch of moss I have.
